LED screens for hotels and conference halls

Conference clients choose a venue by its technology too. An LED screen instead of a projector means a readable image with the lights on, no shadow across the speaker and a surface you can sell to event partners again and again. GMITTER MEDIA designs, installs and services LED systems for the whole hotel, from the conference hall through meeting rooms to the foyer.

Technology partner of the ta3 conferences. Our LED surfaces stand on stage and in the foyer during live conferences in hotel congress halls.

Why LED instead of a projector in a conference hall

An LED screen emits its own light, so the image stays readable with the chandeliers on and the curtains open. A projector throws an image onto a screen and every bit of ambient light eats its contrast, which is why halls get blacked out during morning sessions. Delegates then have nowhere to take notes and the host asks whether someone could hit the lights.

In front of an LED wall a speaker can stand and walk without casting a shadow into the slides. There is no throw distance to solve, no projector hanging in the middle of the room, no lamp swaps and no filter cleaning.

GMITTER MEDIA builds LED walls as one seamless surface designed for the dimensions of your specific hall. The diagonal is not limited by a projector lens, but by the width of the wall behind the stage.

Situation in the hallHow the LED screen behaves
Lights on, daylight in the roomThe image stays bright and saturated. A projector in the same room needs blackout or it washes out.
Speaker in front of the surfaceNo shadow on the content and no projector beam in the speaker's eyes.
Surface sizeThe wall is built from modules, so it matches the exact width and height of your stage.
Operation and maintenanceNo lamps, no filters and no brightness drop after a few hundred hours.
Service lifeThe LED modules supplied by GMITTER MEDIA are engineered for more than 80,000 hours of operation.

A fixed installation built for your hall

A fixed LED screen for a conference hall is a modular surface designed around the dimensions of the room, the height of the stage and the position of the front row. GMITTER MEDIA starts with a site visit: we measure the wall and check the load capacity of the structure, the power supply and the signal path from the control room or the lectern.

The delivery includes the support structure, wiring, control system, calibration and staff training. In halls with no service space behind the wall we specify front-access modules, so replacing a module needs no dismantling of the whole wall and no work on the interior.

Pixel pitch by viewing distance

Pixel pitch is the distance between the centres of neighbouring LEDs in millimetres and it decides how close you can get before the image breaks into dots. GMITTER MEDIA picks it from where the front row sits, not from the average of the room.

Type of spaceRecommended pitch
Meeting and board room, viewed from 2 to 3 metresP1.5 to P1.9
Conference and lecture hall, front row 3 to 5 metresP1.9 to P2.6
Ballroom and large banquet hall, viewed from 5 metresP2.6 and above

Rule of thumb: the pitch value in millimetres matches the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres. A P2.6 surface therefore reads as solid from roughly 2.6 metres. A finer pitch costs more per square metre, so there is no point over-specifying a hall where the front row sits seven metres from the stage.

Content, control and surfaces for partners

An LED wall in a conference hall is not just a bigger screen. It is a surface the hotel puts to work when selling its meeting space.

Presentations with no rehearsal

To a speaker's laptop the LED wall behaves like a second display. Slides, video and video calls run over the same cable as a projector.

Branding for the whole event

The full surface carries the client's visuals from the welcome to the closing panel. Switching between blocks takes seconds and nothing goes to print.

Sponsors and partners

Rotating partner logos during the breaks is a surface you can sell at every single event. A roll-up cannot be sold.

Operated by hotel staff

GMITTER MEDIA trains your team before handover. Content is scheduled in advance or changed during the day, remotely if needed.

Mobile LED posters and an LED counter as an add-on

Not every event needs a permanent installation. An LED poster is a foldable poster-format display you set up in minutes in the foyer, at registration or by the hall entrance, with content uploaded from a phone. Join eight of them and you get a continuous LED wall that works as a stage backdrop, exactly as at the ta3 conferences.

The LED counter is a mobile counter whose entire front face is an LED screen. During the day it works as a branded welcome and registration desk, in the evening as the main visual element of the stage at a ball, a wedding or a company party. GMITTER MEDIA offers both the posters and the counter for purchase or for rental for a single event.

Where LED works inside a hotel

Conference and lecture hall

The main surface behind the stage for presentations, streams and partner logos. The argument that sells the hall.

Meeting and board rooms

A smaller LED wall with a fine pitch for presentations and video calls viewed from close up.

Ballroom and banquet hall

A dynamic set for gala evenings, balls and weddings. One surface replaces printed decoration for every single event.

Foyer and registration

Mobile LED posters with the programme, wayfinding and the client's name. Changed during the day, with no printing.

Reception and lobby bar

Welcome visuals, the bar offer and guest information instead of a faded poster in a stand.

Proven at the ta3 conferences

GMITTER MEDIA is the technology partner of the ta3 conferences. Our LED surfaces form the stage backdrop with sponsor logos inside a hotel congress hall and welcome guests at registration in the foyer.

If the technology holds up at a conference broadcast by a national television channel, it will hold up at your client's event. More installations in meeting rooms, showrooms and venues are in our project gallery.

Service, warranty and day-to-day operation

GMITTER MEDIA covers its LED screens with warranty and post-warranty service. No hidden items and no arguments about what the warranty still includes.

Every installation ships with a set of spare modules, so a replacement can be handled on the spot instead of waiting for a delivery from abroad. We monitor the system remotely, train your staff before handover and schedule service around the hall's booking calendar.

From site visit to the first conference

  1. 1

    Site visit

We come to see the room and measure the wall, the front row position, the power supply and the signal path.

  2. 2

    Solution design

We propose the surface size, pixel pitch, structure and control setup based on how you actually use the hall.

  3. 3

    Tailored quote

You get a specific quote including structure, installation, control and training. No items that only appear on the invoice.

  4. 4

    Installation outside opening hours

We schedule around your bookings so no event is blocked. Most of the work happens outside regular hotel operation.

  5. 5

    Training and support

We train your team and stay on the phone. Service, content and adding posters or an LED counter stay with one supplier.

Frequently asked questions

The price depends on the surface area in square metres, the pixel pitch, the support structure and how demanding the installation is. That is why GMITTER MEDIA works with a tailored quote after a site visit rather than a price list. Both the site visit and the quote are free of obligation.

Sell the hall your client remembers

Tell us which hall you are working with and how many people it seats. We will arrange a site visit and prepare an LED design and a tailored quote.
