LED screens for stadiums and sports arenas
At a stadium, an LED screen is infrastructure in the same way floodlights are: it carries the score and the clock, plays replays, sells advertising space to sponsors and keeps the crowd in the game. GMITTER MEDIA designs, supplies, installs and services large-format LED screens, scoreboards and perimeter systems.
LED screens by GMITTER MEDIA are in daily operation at the MŠK Žilina stadium, at Košice Football Arena and at Futbal Tatran Aréna in Prešov.

What a stadium LED system consists of
A stadium LED system has three layers: the main large-format screen carrying the score and video content, the perimeter surfaces along the pitch that belong to sponsors, and secondary screens inside the venue. GMITTER MEDIA supplies all three, either separately or as one system.
The main screen is the most visible part of the investment. Depending on the layout of the stands, it goes on a structure behind the goal, on the roof of a stand, or as a cube above the playing area in indoor arenas. The same surface then carries the score, the clock, line-ups, replays and sponsor spots.
Screen size and pixel pitch are not picked from a catalogue. They follow the distance of the nearest and the furthest spectator, the orientation of the stands towards the sun, and whether the venue is broadcast. GMITTER MEDIA therefore starts with a site visit, not with a price list.
LED systems we supply to stadiums
Large-format LED screens
The main screen behind the goal or on a stand. It carries the score, the clock, replays and advertising, and it is the one surface every spectator and every TV camera sees.
LED cubes for arenas
A four-sided cube suspended above the playing area. In arenas where the crowd sits all around, this is the format that serves every stand at once.
Scoreboards and results displays
A digital board replaces mechanical numbers: score, time, penalties, substitutions and team crests on a single surface. The layout changes with the sport being played.
Perimeter LED boards
A band of LED surfaces along the pitch that you sell to sponsors. Instead of one name on a static banner, your whole partner portfolio rotates during the match, inside the camera shot.
Ribbon displays on the stands
Narrow LED strips running along the stands for the score, announcements and sponsor rotation. They cover the seats that cannot see the main screen well.
Screens away from the pitch
Entrances, concourses, VIP areas, the fan shop and catering points. They guide spectators, sell, and help clear the queues faster at half time.

How a stadium LED screen is specified
The parameters of a stadium LED screen are set by the venue, not by a supplier catalogue. GMITTER MEDIA works through these points on every project:
| What we solve | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Brightness and legibility | An outdoor screen has to stay legible in direct sunlight and at dusk. Brightness is specified with a reserve and is regulated automatically by ambient light. |
| Pixel pitch | It follows viewing distance. A screen behind the goal tolerates a coarser pitch, a board close above the seats needs a finer one. |
| Broadcast | If the venue is televised, the screen needs a high refresh rate so that no banding or flicker appears in the camera shot. |
| Durability and ingress protection | Outdoor surfaces live in rain, frost and summer heat all year. That calls for exterior-grade modules protected against water and dust. |
| Structure and statics | The support structure, anchoring and wind load are resolved with the building designer before installation, not on site. |
| Control and content | Score, replays, advertising spots and the live camera feed all run through one control system operated by one person from the control room. |
| Service and warranty | GMITTER MEDIA provides warranty and post-warranty service and keeps spare modules, so that a fault never means a match played in front of a dark screen. |
Fan experience and sponsorship revenue
An LED screen turns a match into a directed show. A goal replay, the line-ups, a half-time contest, a club anniversary or a message for a fan in the stands are all reasons why people watch the stadium instead of their phones.
The other half of the return is commercial. An LED surface is advertising space that can be sold repeatedly and measured:
- advertising space for several sponsors at once, rotating during the match
- partner packages with a guaranteed number of seconds in the TV camera shot
- your own channel for selling season tickets, merchandise and upcoming home matches
- use of the venue out of season for concerts, corporate events and rentals
- fast and unambiguous delivery of crowd management and safety instructions

Service, warranty and post-warranty care
GMITTER MEDIA provides warranty and post-warranty service for every LED screen it supplies. If something fails, you call us directly on +421 915 81 81 83 instead of dealing with an overseas manufacturer.
A fixture cannot be postponed, so we work with spare modules and design service access into the project from the start. Operator training is part of the delivery, so your own staff can run the score and the advertising loops.
From site visit to the first match
- 1
Site visit and brief
We come to the stadium and measure viewing distances, the orientation of the stands and the anchoring options. The size and pixel pitch follow from that.
- 2
Technical design
You receive a design of the screen, the structure, the power supply and the data routes, plus a visualisation of how the screen will look at your venue.
- 3
Quote and schedule
The calculation and the installation date arrive in one document. We plan the installation around the fixture list so that it affects as few matches as possible.
- 4
Installation and commissioning
Structure, modules, cabling and control come from one supplier. The screen is handed over calibrated and tested.
- 5
Content, training and service
We train your people to run the score and the advertising loops. From there the warranty and post-warranty service on +421 915 81 81 83 take over.
